Tab Saver privacy policy

Tab Saver is published by Om Ray. Privacy questions: om@ray.vin.

Data on your device

Tab Saver reads the URLs and titles of tabs in the current browser window to show a preview. When you save a context, it stores the selected URLs, titles, order, context name and related saved-context information in chrome.storage.local in your Chrome profile. It also stores the recovery information needed to undo the last park and any activated license locally.

Tab Saver does not read page contents, form entries, cookies or passwords. It does not capture incognito tabs. It does not use analytics, advertising trackers, remote favicons or cloud sync.

Saved tab data is not sent to Om Ray or any service by the extension. The extension makes no network requests to store or restore its saved library. When you restore a tab, Chrome opens the website normally. That website receives its usual request and has its own privacy practices.

Backups

Export creates a JSON file containing your saved tab data on your device. Import reads the JSON file you select and merges its valid contexts into your local library. The extension does not upload backup files.

URLs and titles can reveal private information. Keep exported files somewhere you trust. If you move them into a synced folder or share them yourself, that service or recipient may receive the file.

Purchases

The initial build has no active checkout. If the publisher enables the optional $15 upgrade, choosing checkout will open a separate Stripe-hosted payment page. Stripe and the publisher may process purchase information such as payment status, billing details and contact information to complete the purchase, deliver a license, handle refunds and meet legal obligations. Stripe's privacy policy applies to its checkout.

Saved contexts and tab URLs are not included in checkout or license activation. Tab Saver verifies a supplied license on-device and stores it locally. Using the free extension does not require an account.

Retention and deletion

Saved contexts remain in your Chrome profile until you delete them or remove the extension/profile. Undo information may retain the tabs from the last park until a later parking operation replaces it. Uninstalling Tab Saver removes its extension storage, including license and undo data. Delete exported JSON files separately if you want to remove those copies as well.

No publisher-hosted copy of your saved contexts exists. We cannot recover a deleted local library without a backup you kept.

Permissions

The tabs permission lets Tab Saver show tab URLs and titles, verify the selected tabs, and close or restore them at your request. The storage permission lets it save contexts, undo information and license state on your device. It does not request access to read website contents or to run code inside pages.

Use and sharing

We do not sell saved tab data, use it for advertising or credit decisions, or transfer it for unrelated purposes. Tab information is used only to provide the features you request. Any future change to these practices will require an updated policy and extension disclosure.
